The prestigious KTH award for Prof. Rachel Alterman

Prof. Rachelle Alterman was awarded the: 'Athena City Accolade' award, by the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm (KTH).

The award was awarded to 10 leading researchers around the world who throughout their careers have engaged in depth, enriched, and promoted the field of interdisciplinary knowledge in urban studies.
Among the reasons for awarding Prof. Rachelle Alterman: "Her outstanding contribution to the field of research comparable in planning law, the regulation of land uses, comparative real estate policy and property rights, housing policy, planning theories and urban planning in general."

New collaboration between BOSMAT, The Samuel Neaman Institute and PTC

The cooperation of the new BOSMAT with PTC and the Samuel Neaman Institute was recently established thanks to a joint initiative that includes Dr. Ronen Ben-Horin (Vice President of Technology of PTC) and Giora Shalgi of the Industrial Excellence Team at the Samuel Neaman Institute, a cooperation framework was agreed between the new PTC (which has an agreement with the Technion).

Its purpose is to imply modern digital literacy to schoolchildren (aimed at continuing engineering studies). As part of the cooperation, it was agreed to initiate cross-border activity between seventh graders and carry out a point project of "Digital Twin" as part of a final project of two outstanding 12th graders.

New appointment for Dr. Eli Eizenberg

Dr. Eli Eizenberg who leads projects in the fields of education for engineers and higher education at the Samuel Neaman Institute,
appointed to be an advisor to the Extensive Steering Committee for the Conversion of Engineers and Practical Engineers to Teaching in Technological Education on behalf of the Ministry of Education, and was also appointed to be a member of the Steering Committee Advising the Training of Technological Education Teachers in Israel

Samuel Neaman Institute will assist ORT Braude College in adapting the Industrial Revolution 4.0 curriculum

The Center for Industrial Excellence at Samuel Neaman Institute began collaborating with ORT Braude College on the college's curriculum decisions so that it would provide all college graduates with a toolbox that includes digital literacy consistent with the 4th Industrial Revolution, with students and faculty collaborating on advanced manufacturing institutes.

The activity is led by Giora Shalgi, a senior Researcher at Shmuel Neaman Institute.

The award is a Lifetime Achievement Award in the high-tech industry awarded in the form of a special certificate to the Chipex Conference, which is the annual Harini conference of the semiconductor industry.
This year, Prof. Meir Feder, Billy Harvia and Napa Bishara also won this award.
The awarding of the certificate took place at the closing event of the conference in a dignified ceremony in the presence of senior figures and leaders of the high-tech industry.

The Samuel Neaman Institute and Israel Innovation Authority are conducting a joint study to examine the catalysts and barriers to cooperation between academia and industry.
At the heart of the study will be examined: the effectiveness of technological collaboration, the success and benefits of the Magnet Legend track.
If you are a researcher and partners from academia or industry who participated in associations that began in 2005 and ended by 2020, you are welcome to respond to an online survey.
This will help the research needs.
