On Tuesday, April 23, 2025, the eve of Holocaust Remembrance Day, a dedicated conference addressing the academic boycott was held at the Samuel Neaman Institute.

This event was part of the initiatives undertaken by a research team established for this purpose at the Neaman Institute. The conference was attended by senior representatives from universities and colleges, officials from the Israel Science Foundation, legal experts, researchers, and organizations active on the international stage.

The program included opening remarks, a review of data and actions taken by the Neaman Institute regarding the issue, an in-depth legal lecture on the boundaries of the boycott’s legality, and two panel discussions focusing on the responses of Israeli academic institutions and the efforts of civil society organizations against the boycott phenomenon. Participants’ remarks were recorded and transcribed; below is a summary of their presentations.
