The third Water Forum meeting- Water for Nature and River Restoration
The goal of the 3rd water forum was to facilitate a stage for discussing possible conflicts between various water uses and the “nature” as a water consumer and for elaborating the principles for resolving these conflicts. The forum consisted of three sessions on three main themes: 1) Water for nature – current status and principles of future policy; 2) Principles of river/stream restoration; 3) Water for nature – conflicts, needed policy and suggested ways of action.
Every session consisted of short presentations followed by open discussions. At the end of the day an expert panel discussed the main topics raised along the day.
The details summary of the forum is expected to serve as a basis for updating the national policy and as a concise database for decision makers and the general public.
