This paper proposes several courses of action for mobilizing Israeli academia to strengthen the public service. Among others, it suggests actively and purposefully exposing students to the work of the public service and emphasizing its importance. This exposure is expected to motivate high-quality and diverse students to join the ranks of the public sector. The paper offers various alternatives aimed at introducing students from all fields of study in Israel to the civil service and its personnel, as well as to content related to governance, administration, public management, and policy. This exposure is designed to encourage the integration of skilled and value-driven individuals into the public service and to foster a stronger sense of public mission among the younger generation.
