Higher Education Forum: Session No.55: Academic Freedom in Research
Session 2 out of 4 ,14.06.22, Zoom
Chairman and Host of the Meeting Prof. Shimon Yankelewitz Prof. Hagit Messer-Yaron
Academic freedom in research and teaching should ensure that teaching and research are carried out independently, without fear and without fear of discrimination or harm.
It includes the right to choose the subjects of research and teaching, their character and conduct without dictates. In meetings 2+3 we will examine the challenges and constraints – external and internal – on this academic freedom. Are there any restrictions worth putting, what are the limits and what are the tools for determining the borders and red lines.
Greetings
