In this study, a series of economic mechanisms was formulated. These will encourage integration of technologies and means of saving energy in residential buildings and help reduce maintenance costs for households and help them cope better with the cost of living.
As the basis for this study - the first time in Israel - techno-economic analysis using dedicated software (IESVE) which quantified the potential savings in energy costs for households under different apartments typical characteristic in the State of Israel
Following this study, the Ministry of Construction and Housing in cooperation with the Ministry of Energy, Water and National Infrastructure have launched a pilot in public housing buildings in Beit She'an in order to assess the outcomes of this study.
