The Samuel Neaman Institute for Advanced Studies in Science and Technology is an independent public-policy research institute, established in 1978 to assist in the search for solutions to national problems in science and technology, education, economy and industry, and social development.

THE FORUM FOR DISCUSSION OF ISSUES IN HIGHER EDUCATION The Forum is a follow-up of the conference: 'Transition to Higher Education Systems: International Comparisons and Perspectives' in which it was recommended that an open dialogue be conducted between the Universities and the Colleges with the collaboration of the Council for Higher Education, the Planning and Budgeting Committee and other bodies. INDIA AND ISRAEL: R&D AS A STRATEGIC BRIDGE The project brings together representatives from government, academia and industry from both countries in a series of workshops and other activities, to better understand and prepare for the huge changes in the hightech world, and to build platforms to expand cooperation in industrial R&D.
