The higher education sector faces more challenges than ever before, and therefore needs leaders who can lead faculty members (colleagues) and ensure the implementation of academic goals.
To date, no research has been conducted in Israel describing the processes of appointing, training and evaluating leadership in academic institutions in Israel, and the challenges academic leaders face.
Therefore, "Leadership in Academia"- The National Initiative for Senior Leadership Development in Higher Education requested the Samuel Neaman Institute to conduct a mutual research on the subject.
