In July 2021, it was decided to found a committee to examine the establishment of a university in the Galilee.
In April 2022, Prof. Geiger was appointed to head the committee.
The committee was established to formulate an outline for the establishment of the Galilee University while examining the national, academic, planning, budgetary and other aspects of the issue and to submit its recommendations to the CHE.
In September 2022, the commission's report was submitted.
