A ‘Directors' Conference’ was held at The Jerusalem College of Technology on Orthodox labor market integration. The conference was held in light of the fact that there are still huge gaps between employers and workplaces on the one hand and Orthodox employees, on the other; and given that these gaps, to a large extent, are due to prejudice. Dr. Reuven Gal, Head of ‘Ultra-Orthodox Integration’ Project, reported the Project activities in the area of “Success Stories” – the stories of men and women in the Ultra-Orthodox community who integrated successfully in jobs, academic institutions and military service. Mr. Ilia Zatcovetsky presented a study looking at the relationship between U-O women’s employment and their rate of fertility.
