We live in an era where the pace of technological, economic and social change is faster than ever. The world of work is constantly evolving, and skills that were considered essential in the past may lose their importance, while new skills become critical to success. In this dynamic reality, the education system faces a huge challenge: How to prepare the younger generation not only for existing knowledge, but also for the ability to adapt, learn independently, collaborate, and excel in a world that is still unknown, all while exercising critical thinking in light of the abundance of information that overwhelms us?<\/p>\n
The Ministry of Education’s National Project “Skills Interface in STEM Professions”, in strategic collaboration with the Shmuel Neaman Institute at the I.I.T, is an innovative, multi-year research-based and groundbreaking response to these challenges. The program, which began as a modest pilot in the 2012 school year, quickly developed into a national model of success, cultivating essential skills and preparing graduates of the Israeli education system for the challenges of the labor market and society of the 21st century.
