During this design stage, the architect defines the geometry of the building and its relation to the surroundings. Systematic evaluation of the thermal performance of the building was carried- using a dynamic simulation model. In each set of tests a sensitivity analysis was done for only one design parameter, keeping the others at the same level. In this way, the relative importance of the design parameters and its recommended value were determined. Accordingly the designer can devote more attention to those parameters that most influence the thermal performance of the building.
