This report reviews the Food and Beverage industry with emphasis on Dairy factories and Soft Drink production factories. All of those in order to identify the role of water in the production as well as  water treatment needed in regarding to water use, saving water, reuse, recycle and regulated emission to the environment.
This is the forth report in the project of reviewing water use and treatment in seven global industrial sectors – the 1st one being: “Global challenges for the water industry in oil and gas production industry”, 2nd being: ” Global challenges for the water industry in the mineral mining industry” and the third one being: “Global challenges for the water industry in the API production industry”.
The goal of this project is to promote business opportunities for Israeli water companies; the purpose of this work is to enhance our understanding of the role of water in the industries of interest, and identify long term business challenges.
This work will be an important part of the infrastructure of Israel Newtech, IEICI (Israel export & international cooperation institute) and the Israeli consulate of economy affairs working plan for the next few years.
In this work we review water usage and treatment for each sector, and identify challenges that are a bottleneck for the growth of each specific sector.
