Best-practice Medical Design for 2020 (14.6.2007)

The Samuel Neaman Institute for Advanced Studies in Science and Technology, Technion City , Haifa

This one-day symposium of invited lectures, featuring both leading international   and local researchers, engineers and designers, is the only one of its kind, gathering together disciplines of industrial design, bio-engineering, medicine, health care industry and hi-tech companies that generally attend separate conferences.

RATIONALE

· Industrial design is an essential integrated component in any product development, accompanying it from early stages of research, planning, developing, through production and marketing.

· Industrial design and medical design in particular are gaining a great deal of interest lately, especially with healthcare moving from hospitals to home care, e-health and community services, resulting in rapid growth in the market   for personal home medical devices.
